The first step is to decide if you'd like to work with my amazing hair and makeup artist. I believe that using a professional hair and makeup artist helps my seniors feel more confident in front of the camera and gives their images a polished and elevated look.

After you've paid your deposit, I'll send you the YM Session Planning Guide and YM What to Wear Guide. These two guides will give you all the information you need to prepare yourself before your big day and pull together your favorite outfits. We can always chat about your choices via Zoom or text. Don't worry– I'm here to help you every step of the way!
Then it's time to explore dates that will work for you and locations that fit your style and vision. We can discuss natural settings or urban and even a combination of both. My favorite time of day to shoot is in the golden hours before sunset. As the sun sets. I'll bring out the lights for a few dramatic photos at the end of your session.

The Big Day! I know you've waited for this day for a long time and I'm here to make it absolutely fabulous! We're going to laugh a lot, take a ton of photos and give you an unforgettable senior photo experience! Just know that you are in good hands and can just relax and have fun.
Approximately two weeks after your session, you'll be invited back into the studio or onto a Zoom meeting for an Image Reveal. At this appointment, we will finalize your order and design all of your archival print products exactly the way you want them. Your products will be available for you to pick up two weeks after everything is ordered.

HAIR & MAKEUP
If you want to take your senior photos to the next level, I highly recommend working with one of my hair and makeup artists before your session. I work with some of the best artists in the Denver area who are exceptionally skilled at working with seniors. We will make sure that you get exactly the look you are going for – from a natural look to a full-glam look and everything in between. These are YOUR senior photos and they'll deliver the look you dream about to ensure your photos are the best you've ever seen of yourself. Getting your hair and makeup done before your session means you won't be stressed about doing it yourself on the day of your shoot.

LOCATIONS
The Denver area is full of gorgeous locations and beautiful light. Together, we'll find the perfect location for your shoot. Do you prefer the look of a natural setting or are you more into an urban look for your shoot? Or do you want a combination of the two? Whatever you are looking for, YM will help you choose the locations that are best for you, your outfits and your unique style. We've photographed all over this area for years and we know it well. POSING
Posing can be really uncomfortable, especially when you have no idea what to do! That's why I guide all of my clients and help you pose throughout your entire session so that you are relaxed, as confident as possible, and know exactly what to do during your shoot. We'll get a variety of poses ranging from classic to editorial and, of course, some candid poses of you just laughing and having fun. I promise that we will get a variety of flattering poses that still look natural and comfortable that you will absolutely love!

USING OCF (OFF-CAMERA FLASH)
One of the truly unique skills of Yvonne Min is working with off-camera flash during your senior session. As the sun starts to set, we get some incredible colors in our Colorado skies. Let's bring out the lights and capture both you AND the sunset in some amazing images at the end of your shoot. These photographs will be like nothing you've ever seen before and you're guaranteed to fall in love with them! Having a mix of natural light and OCF images will give your final gallery amazing variety and something really extraordinary to treasure.

In May, we'll invite you and your family back for a complimentary Mini Cap & Gown Session. This is a chance to celebrate this incredible accomplishment you just achieved! We'll make sure to take some photographs of you alone in your cap and gown and also one with your family. This is such a fun thing to do as you wrap up your senior year and prepare for your next adventure. It's also a nice way to spend a little time together as a family and not be stressed about getting the perfect family photograph at your ceremony.
